Export Options

LecShare Pro allows you to export your work into four different formats. You may choose to export in a number of different formats at once.

Title

This is the title that will be stored with the various export options.

Optional Information

This information does not need to be entered for the various export options. If it is included it can serve as meta data for your projects. In the Accessible HTML, it is stored as meta tags. In the QuickTime and MPEG-4 movies it is stored as annotations. It is ignored in the Microsoft Word export.

Output Directory

All of the files will be exported to the folder specified. If there are any files in the folder with the same name they will be deleted. Other files already existing in the folder will not be deleted.

It is recommended to always export to a new folder or delete all the files out of a folder first. If you export to a folder that has previously been exported to, LecShare Pro will only overwrite the files and folders with the same file name as the current export. If the presentation changes much between exports there is a chance that there will be files from the previous export that will not get deleted.

The HTML export will produce a single index.htm file plus various support folders. These support folders are "web_data", "css", "images", and "js". (The "js" folder is only produced when audio is exported.) All of these folders and their contents are necessary for your HTML presentation to display correctly.

File Names

The file names will be generated from the name of the original PowerPoint presentation, when appropriate. LecShare Pro will modify the name to be appropriate for the web as well (no spaces or capital letters) For example:

PowerPoint file name = "Introduction to Biology.ppt"

Accessible HTML = "index.html"

QuickTime Movie = "introduction_to_biology.mov"

MPEG-4 = "introduction_to_biology.mov"

Microsoft Word Document = "introduction_to_biology.doc"
