Editing Slide Times

In the Slide Tray, the top line of times indicates at what point in the audio track that the slide begins displaying (the "In" time). the bottom line indicates at what point in the audio track that the slide stops displaying (the "Out" time). (See Figure 1)

If part of the audio track is not assigned to a slide, that portion of the audio track will be delete.

Simple Method of Assigning Times

To assign In and Out times to a slide simply double-click on a slide. Where you double-click will determine how the times stamps are assigned.

If you double click on the slide preview the Out time of the previous slide and the In time of the current slide will be assigned to the current position of the audio player. (There will be a 1/600 second difference between the two to account for the length of time of one frame of the finished movie.) You can let the audio player play while you double click on a slide when it should start displaying.

After you have done this for the whole presentation, click "OK" and the final Out time will be written to the last slide. Clicking "OK" will also save all of the new slide and audio timings.

Advanced Method of Assigning Times

If there are portions of the audio that you want to delete, like segments of silence, you must use the Advanced Method. The Advanced Method works similarly to the Simple Method except you will click on the row for a slide's In time or Out Time instead of the Slide Preview row.

When you click on the In time or the Out time, LecShare Pro will automatically assign the current value of the audio player to whichever row was clicked. The difference between this method and the Simple method is that in this method the previous Out time is not assigned when you click an In time. This allows you to select exactly what portions of audio you want associated with particular slides.

You may not rearrange the audio times to play out of order or assign one segment of audio to multiple slides. LecShare Pro will not let you assign times that fall outside the linear order.
